Ideas for Ringers – Cycling TV Guide

Still working up your plans for bellringing for Le Tour de France in Yorkshire? Want to see what a major cycle race looks like?  Check out the Radio Times guide to cycling via the link below and check out the listings for ITV4 and Eurosport.

Its the Grande Partenza of the Giro d’Italia in Belfast on 9 May. That is the start of the second biggest cycle race in the world.  3 days in Ireland. 3 whole days in Ireland.  And a few churches en route…

And its the Women’s Tour in Britain and the mens Tour of Azerbaijan.

See the crowds.  See the arena that your bells could ring out to…. And the audience who might want to come and have a go… And see who might sign up to learn at your tower.  #bepartofit

Other exhibitions featuring bellringing

Bells can be stunning for their sound and for their imagery.  Brazilian artist Laura Belém took this to new levels with her dramatic work “1000 Bells” which was exhibited in York St Mary’s in 2012 as part of her work for the Liverpool Biennial.  Find out more on this great art work via the YouTube clip and weblinks below this photo from 2012.
